Japan

Hmmm. Strange. When you get to it, go to the Layers tab and click the "visible/not visible" eye. If that doesn't work, try unlocking the layer and choose a blank spot on the board, go to Content tab and try to raise/lower the baseboard. It should be set to be just above the terrain at 0.0. When you raise/lower the entire baseboard (1km square) will move.

Whatever you do, if you make any changes, make sure the Baseboard layer is LOCKED. I've messed up several times by placing content/track on the baseboard layer because I forgot to lock it.

I see the new tracks by Hirochi are being put to good use for your Tsurumi Line project guys. Will it have the elevated terminal station like it does in the Densha De Go final game?
Pagroov: for some reason the new Electro Island route is not showing up on my routes list, I'm hoping it's because I still have to get those missing kuids or in the worst case, my build of Trainz12 (Actually its Railroad Siumlator powered by trains 12) maybe too low. I'll just keep hitting the DLS for those missing kuids and pray for the best. Well Happy New Year to all of you and good luck with your projects!!

Tsurumi Line: Yes: it has the elevated terminal station. Just made the terminal last week.

Electro Island 3.0. is for Trainz 12 build 61388 ( I believe latest patch). So check which version you get in the load screen. Otherwise you have to patch Trainz 12 to the latest build or install another Trainz 12 alongside it (that is if you don't want to mess with your current install).

With missing kuids you should still see a route in the list.

@Pagroove: PM sent containing a URL for the additions I made to your v1 route. I named it v1.1 and added my baseboards from Google Earth. It shows that your track routing is nearly correct, but off just far enough to cause problems with station placement and distances between them. The baseboards are on a locked layer as they were in my original CDP to you.

Well... i'd guess Pagroove and I did some good tracklaying then haha good to hear you put that in!

It was great tracklaying using dead-reckoning. I can send you a link to my version that has all the water depressed 5M and filled. My track is just "token" track, but it follows Google Earth precisely. You can see if you like it.

I let Pagroove have a look at it first, he can send it me afterwards still...

That's cool. I have also started initial design of the Kishigawa Line. It uses 16 baseboards (A-P). Actually, this is a simpler line as it passes through countryside and is single-tracked. My major problem is finding stations that resemble the actual stations. Google Earth Street View is extremely helpful for this route as roads follow the line closely for the most part.

Would you like to see it?

Well there are some nippon platforms splines wich you can use to basicallymake the stations how you'd like...

That's what I do now using invisible stations and JP platforms. I am terrible at content creation, so I have to make available buildings that appear similar to actual buildings on the ground. It is okay, but not perfect by any stretch.

I'll send a PM with the URLs to the CDPs.

No, i litteraly meant Nippon Platforms... they are probably more fitting compared to the JP Platform... made by rossolabo

This is great work HiBaller. I took a look and you are indeed right. Now someone has to shift the tracks in place on the map. Do you also want to do that Bill. And then the start of signaling is needed. But the map shows we are on a good track :).

Edited to add a question. Do yo have the whole Tokyo Area as a map layer?
If so we could extend the Tokaido line and the Keikyu Main line in the direction of both Tokyo and Yokohama (but thats for later). For now let's focus on making the Tsurumi Line System map a reality :).

2 screenshots of the current situation. 1st showing ho far of the 'dead reckoned' bridge over the Tokaido Main Line is in comparison with the Google image. And the second shows the situation @ the Tsurumi Station court.

@Pagroove:

I can add any 1KM square Google Earth baseboard in the immediate area - or all of Tokyo if you want to go out that far. I can see where perhaps the addition of one board North and one board South on the Tokaido and Keiku lines that would extend the yard area to the throats and into double/triple lines. If you get too far afield, though, that would take focus away from your main route which is the Tsurumi Line.

Did I give you a link to my version of the Tsurumi Line? I think I did. Instead of shifting all that trackwork, would it be easier to do the rest of the development on my version? I'd be happy to take your trackwork and simply move it to mine. I can do that by merging the two routes, doing a copy/paste, and then deleting the unwanted route.

This would give you the Tsurumi River and Tokyo Bay already depressed around the islands as well as some of the content (gas domes/buildings/major roads/etc) already in place. Let me know about that. I think I can have all that done by the end of the week.

I'm fine with that as long as TheNicofabi is also fine. That's because he's done all the yard work and double tracking. But I think you plan is a good one. But indeed the focus for now is still the Tsurumi line.

I wouldnt mind at all if it gets us closer to the actual line, i still left out alot of detail from most of the tracks anyway... so... and the more detailed the google images the better...

Great! I will transfer all the trackage from the current Tsurumi Line V1.1 to my version and also bring over any content of yours I don't have on mine. Once I get that done, I'll send a link to both of you for Tsurumi Line v2.0.

I will also add the two 1km baseboards that extend North and South of Tsurumi Station. That way, if we want, we could put some portals at the ends of the big yard and generate lots of traffic for the passengers riding over the yard to see.

Yes the portals are a good idea.
