as i would usually say... So... Pagroove kinda invited me here now since he found my speedbuild videos of my current project/s but first i should introduce myself eh?
Well i am TheNicofabi from Germany and got interested in Japanese Railroad since about a year now and still loving it... so one day i thought of why not looking at Trainz Content and well there i am making up Fictional Japanese Routes...
My Current main Project is the Jakken Ja Prefecture wich is for now a Shinkansen Idea though i planned a little ahead as seen here...
(I made that with Path Tool in Gimp by the way...)

but yeah... thats a bit of a big Project dont you think? Well i plan on working on it for a long time though once the Shinkansen Route might be ready i plan on releasing it in First Stage... but yeah... Map doesnt say much ofcours so here if you wanna Check my current Videos go to: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheNicofabi
and if you wanna see some pictures then go to my tumblr: http://thenicofabi.tumblr.com/

So yeah... thats basically it for now of what i can tell... also Thanks Hirochi i needed those new Tracks for the Shinkansen :D

Welcome!

I can only advise to all do check out those speed build videos. Looks like a great route in the making.:)

Take your time TheNicofabi. Don't rush. It's a meant to be fun.

EDIT to add: And do backup after each session (also on other locations). Trainz can do weird things sometimes as I found out a while ago.

Oh... trust me... i know lols... well my First Route that you find on my Tumblr wich was my "Cherry Blossom Go!" Route i didnt check since my old external died and i thankfully can save that but no worries i will keep that in mind ^^ and that time tacking is in effect no worries on that aswell ;D

Hey gang!! Well I've started work on restoring the Sanito Main line a bit today, Had to redo the main station so it will include the new narrow gauged rail line.
I'm now searching my rail yard for a train to replace the old 113 and the limited express that ran on the line in trains 2006. And now some quick shout outs before showing the pics :)!

Hirochi: nice pics of the new bullet tunnels in action there. When I expand the Shinkansen north of Quad City in the future, I will be using the new stuff. :)
marinemania: nice pic there and interesting lash up you got on the tracks. It seems like a tourist train got stuck and the old dd51 had to pull it through the mountains.
Andi: great payware trains but I couldn't get the free one to work so I'll have to pass unfortunatly. :(
TheNicofabi: Welcome aboard!! judging form the pics I saw on your site your Jakken layout will be awesome. you've put a lot of detail into it so far.
pagroov: I managed to take a pic of the Sanito region of the S.I.R.L you can see the loop line, some of the main line, the new narrow gauged line (The grey boxes were recently put in, plugging the massive hole between the main line and loop line.), and some of the bullet train line. enjoy the pics gang. Ja-Ne!!

@ Railshuttle. It really starts to look grand now:). Thank you for the map. I can see the route clearly. About the Kiha 141 problem. It also isn't working on my computer even after I edited in another cabin. I'm not giving up on it and will probably buy a train set (Tokyo Metro and/ or Tokyo Metro 6N looks awesome) but I have the priority first to finish version 2 of Electro Island.

I think I can plan a release for the end of February early March. Yesterday I finished the North end of the second new narrow gauge line to Hazima Valley. It includes a loop and a portal so that you have the possibility to run either end to end trains or loop trains back to To Shin (handy for excursion trains etc). I am probably also gonna make a South loop in To Shin Valley. After that it will be a feature stop to plan for the release. I'm making some new screenshots soon.

In other news and off topic: I made a papercraft shinkansen W7/E7. It took me about one evening to make but it is fun.
The blueprints are here http://www.westjr.co.jp/railroad/fan/paper/shinkansen/#w7
A pic.

Well i am hoping you arent mixing up my Jakken Ja prefecture and Cherry Blossom Go! Route... cause the one that is only tracks and no scenery is my Jakken Ja prefecture so far (and what you can see in my videos) while the fully filled one is my Cherry Blossom Go! Route

Also, SUGOI! pagroove... if i had time and so on i would probably do one myself :D

Route Merging Progress

At the current I have only merged two route together but I intend to merge the remaining routes on the DLS into this master route for everyone's enjoyment. But in the mean time I present these photos'. Once the route has enough progress, I will link a video showing the traversal of the route.

The plan is to include a 1067mm Mainline (i'm working on an old mainline alignment that is being featured below; it will be something for the KiHa DMUs), Include a shinkansen line that is convincing enough for JRH, and include a single track 1435mm mainline for the use of north american freight content. Freight will be possible on the cape gauge mainline it will just not be as prominent as on the standard gauge NA line.

Cheers mates,

Nice ones marinamania. I like especially pic 1 and 2.

I've made progress on restoring the Sanito line. the Alstone station is a major transfer point for the loop line so it got upgraded again and is now animaited.
Hokuto Sanito now features some of Hirochi's building splines.
The new NG line sees some building pop up along side of it that will soon grow into a town.
Nice pics marinemania!!
Hey Hirochi, is that the same emu car form the densha de go 2 game? it's jsut missing the phantographs. look fooward to playing it.
enjoy the pics gang!! Ja-ne!!

Looks like great progress on your line!. One advice test those NG crossings in your last very thorough. They tend to lose the connection with the rail sometimes. I found out that if you don't connect hem right then the rail is not connected. Also you can see that if you place a dwarf signal in front of the crossing. If shows red then the crossing is probably not connected. Hope this tip saves you headaches with testing.

In other news. I'm nearly at a release candidate for Electro Island 2.0. Aiming for a release in March.

yes! thanks for the tip pagroove. I used to have that problem with tracks coming loose form the industries mainly when I merged routes together. So what I started to do was instead of connecting the tracks to the industries I would connect the tracks from both sides of the industries and stations and they hold together. Adding a signal near the crossing is a good idea too. In fact I've seen some rail lines in japan that have signals that let the driver know there are objects or people on the the tracks at the crossing. One such signal I saw playing Densha De Go on the san en line. before you come out the tunnel there was a signal flashing warning of the truck that was stuck on the track and you had to hit the emergency brakes to avoid creaming the truck! LOL!! good luck with your updated Electro Island route. :)
