Issue with Water Wall at Edge of Tile

This has probably been posted already, but a decent search didn't find a reference.

Using S2 and moving heights of water often have left me with this wall of water at the edge of the board. I hated how it looked. I stumbled upon a solution. I discovered that if I added a tile to the side of the board with the water wall; I could move the water to let's say -50m. After lowering the water level at the edge and into the new tile, I could delete the added tile and the wall was gone. I suppose that minds greater than mine already discovered it. But I couldn't find a reference to it at all.

In surveyor 2.0 look on the left in the effects layers and look for your water layer. Right click on the eye and choose edit effect layer. On the upper right you will see a lever. Move that to the right to edit your water settings. Change the default setting to a negative number. I have mine set on -200. Gives me plenty of room for lake depth etc. The wall of water you are seeing is the water defaulting to I think a -5 which is just below the surface. By changing the default depth setting it will allow you to build a deep valley with a river at the bottom without the edges of the baseboard having a wall of water. Took me a while to figure this one out. My route has a sea level of -97 meters as I added a sea port to an existing route and wanted to traverse a canyon to get there. Watch this route tour video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlfqe0aKstE&t=2s and you will see what I did for the sea port and how I went from -97 m to 0 through my canyon. Hope this helps. No need to add another baseboard to get rid of the wall.
