Is the Trainz 10th Anniversery Collector's Edition Super Bundle worth the purchase?

I had purchased the Trainz Railroad Simulator (Jewel Case) a few years ago and had a blast playing it. Now I am looking to upgrade. Now don't get me wrong, I know that the anniversery version has the TS2012 and 2010 with the two expansion packs, Duchess and Blue Comet. I am willing to pay the steep price but was wondering if it would be too many games to really have fun with. I have seen that there are different versions out there for less cost but the bundle seemed quite nice with all that comes with it. Any thoughts on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

TS10 is for compatability mode (with older version assets).

The TS12 looks very inticing, and it is now the cheapest price it has been ($69.95).

I run TRS2006, and am upgrading to TS10 (for better graphics, and to test out locos that do not work in TRS2006) ... and too, I am going to test my TRS2006 route in TS10.

I will always use TRS2006 to create routes (for simplicity), and transfer them into TS10.

I figured that it would be an awesome deal. Not sure how the First Class Ticket works. I have never downloaded content from Auran. I got to admit the deal is almost too sweet to pass up. Two full games plus three add ons. Seems like I will be busy for years. That and all the tons of downloadable content has got me dancing in my seat.

I would say go for it, firstly you get a cookie tin container and secondly you get the extra add ons (as others have said) and thirdly you get a printed thick (well, sort of) manual. I wish I had waited to purchase my version of it, I pre ordered when this was first released, I would have saved myself a bundle of cash and I would have received the extra content.

But seeing that my payment went directly to AURAN/N3V can only help them financially and hopefully for a better next version. Next time something like the above bundle gets released, I might wait to buy it as not always the "early bird gets the worm".

I only wonder, has anyone won a "Golden Ticket" yet or will these be sold with the last 10 tin cans?

I got the 10th Anniversary Addition and I got authentic # in the 500's and no golden ticket. Bummer

Well worth it, if you have the money then go spend it now, you'll never regret it. So many more years of fun to be had for a small price. :wave:
Oh and wait til you get on to the DLS, you'll have a blast.

I think so. I already HAD all that (thought TS12 itself was the regular, boxed edition - no difference in operation) when they came up with the Super Bundle. Part of me would like to buy the Anniversary Edition of TS12 just to get the fancy box and bound, printed manual. It's a nostalgia thing, as the "old school" videogame makers put a lot of effort the supporting materials as well as the game. Which is very much a lost art in this day and age.

I saw your post about shipping to AO boxes. I can't answer that except that everything but TS12 itself is available via download. However, I seem to recall getting my boxed editions of both TS2010 and TS12 via international postal mail, not private carrier like DHL or UPS.

I got my new TS12 Anniversary Edition several days ago. Took less than 2 weeks from order to arrival here in US. I'm pleased with the purchase but still undecided if I will build in TS10 or TS12.

While I have both 2010 and 12, I don't really use both. I use 2006 and 12 more than anything, but I guess you could consider 2010 equivalent to 2006 for those purposes.
Still, it's a good deal, and you get the nice metal case to keep your derringer in!
