i just tried to launch TS2010, but it just blackscreened. ok. so i got up task manager, and when i clicked on applications, it says:

Trainz (0.4) <--- is that correct?

also, last time i played trainz, it said mine was out of date

hey shane. ill be back in a bit, gonna watch some tv so i dont explode. trainz wouldnt launch. like not even the start. options. extras. content. etc. nothing. so i went into task manager and ended the process tree for TADDaemon. now trainz launches, but does an EDR. freakin thing has a mind of its own:eek:

If you are sure you want the multiplayer beta, and are prepared to lose compatibility mode, the required patch can be found at http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php5/TS2010_Mchultiplayer_Beta.

There is also an additional patch for the multiplayer beta (once the patch mentioned above is installed) at http://download.ts2009.com/patch/46170_to_49938.exe.

If you do not want the multiplayer beta (and wish to keep compatibility mode), you can install the following patch: http://download.ts2009.com/patch/44088_to_49933.exe

Note: The two routes are mutually exclusive - if you install the multiplayer beta and decide you no longer want it, you would need to reinstall.

EDIT: For other users benefit, for multiplayer it's links 1 and 2. For non-multiplayer, it's link 3.

yeah im probally not gonna go with multiplayer mode, my connection isnt the greatest.

so go with the 3rd link? ok thanks shane.

wish i could meet u somehow, you seem like a nice guy. Like you've helped me tons of times. id have to get a hefty plane ticket to jump the pond though

That is correct - the third link is for the non-multiplayer hotfix.

Shane

EDIT: Remember, if you do install the patch, and decide you want multiplayer in the future, you will need to reinstall.

Hi,

I was a few months not so busy with tranz and now I see this 440088 to 49933 update, is it wise to update or can I better stay with 440088. Be course when I read all the problems with updates I'm affraid it goes wrong and must start all over again.

My 440088 runs OK, there's nothing wrong, everything works like I wish.
Is there a NEED to update?

wkr,

Richard
