Let me re-phrase what I said.
The above was my opinion.
But I don't know if you would agree, but it seems after 2009 WBE was released, alot of people started complaining about it.
Some were even people who had multiple versions of Trainz Icons on their signature.
I take it that means they own all those versions?
If I was to by 2004 when it was released, then I would be a fool to by 2006 when it came out.
Auran has been known (at least by me) to not put new default content in their new games.
Therefore people will begin complaining about this new version and that is what will "entertain" us.

As for "the crash", did the Korean War even end yet? So is with this crash it seems, another thread talked about no contact even by phone with auran. The three monkeys may be working there now! Ya know- Speak no evil, Hear no evil, See no evil. Many people insist that all content be available through the Trainz DLS and not personal websites, but what happens if there is no DLS anymore? Then you could continue getting content through the other means now couldn't ya! Just look at the trend lately of how many other sources are appearing for content, plus all the complains about auran. This sure didn't happen with TRS2004 now did it!

However , if you were there you knew , and it was not totally due to the crash , it was the way the crash was handled by those in control , that lost many very valued members !

Sorry for the abrupt answer earlier Chamisa, it's just that we daren't talk about "Those we don't speak of".

Anyway, the long ago time of Trainz Prosperity (BC...before crash) was not so different from now, except that there was less cynicism and more excitement and creation. Eventually all the questions get answered, and all the rules get made, and members move on to other pursuits. The Great Crash is generally lamented for all the information that was lost, and that is the one true calamity of the whole occurance.

This sure didn't happen with TRS2004 now did it!

My recollection is that users complained long and hard about TRS2004 when it was the latest version. Especially when is was released without its promised interactive passenger support.

Forum boring?? I wouldn't say that, but I do notice a lot more negativity in these forums.

Screenshots forum is never boring really, especially the European thread and the weekly competitions are always interesting. Seeing pics of anything that NS37. Dermmy, GFisher, and many of the European creators always spruces the place up a bit.
