Better Alternative to the "Trackview Rule"?

I have always preferred the trackview rule for sessions. It displays trackmarks by name, upcoming speed limits, and the yards to the next junction or station or trackmark. The built-in (F5) display does not provide names to the trackmarks or feet or yard distances to the marks. But lately I can't get that rule to operate well or update without contantly refreshing it.

Is there any better alternatives that you are using that operates well with the same features?

Can you identify this rule? It does not seem to be on the DLS or built in - at least not with the names "track view" or "trackview".

A <kuid> value would be helpful.

<kuid2:39730:61000:2> is not on the DLS, not built in and is showing as <unknown asset> in Content Manager

The asset creator, KlausM, has never uploaded any assets to the DLS and has only ever make one post in these forums, back in May 2001.

I would suggest that you try other options, such as the one recommended by @p-dehnert above.
Thank you for your help..... So far the only ones I am finding do everything else but display upcoming track marks...... I value the upcoming track marks more that I do gradient and several other options available. If you know of one that display trackmarks by name, I would be grateful. TIA

At the start of a session the TrackView display sometimes doesn't update. Try minimizing the TrackView display, and expand it again. This procedure usually fixes the problem.

Such (constant) fob (foist) on off is false. That asset is timeless perfect trackview rule, which not any built-in, known to CM or on the DLS asset can be equal to. It was created 20 years ago and so far N3V was not able to provide more helpful solution by themselves. They just made it broken lately instead. KlausM had serious reasons to never upload anything on the DLS (thus to post something here) and it makes not that asset or author any worse at all as the post above tries to falsely indicate. I am starting to dislike such trolling...

Sorry, but which parts of my post is a fob (foist) on off - whatever that means?

Huh? The original poster asked a question about an asset. I simply put the <kuid> into my copy of CM and reported what I saw - it was not on the DLS and had an <unknown asset> status. Whenever CM comes up empty I try to identify the asset creator to see if he/she has other assets on the DLS that could be used. Again CM came up blank. So my next step is always to see if the creator is still posting in the forums - in this case only a single post (in German) in May 2001. Which parts of that are false?

I do not know anything about KlausM or the asset and whether or not it has been "broken". I made no comments on those matters.

Are you objecting to me reporting these facts, and please check them yourself to confirm or prove me wrong (and I just checked again to confirm all the following):-
  1. asset not on DLS
  2. no assets by this creator on the DLS
  3. only one post in May 2001 by the creator
What have I done wrong?

KlausM's website, where you can download the original TrackView rule (and more), is still online. In the config.txt of the rule you have to delete the complete "trackview-defaults" container. This tag is no longer allowed since TRS2006. The script uses the same default values as defined in the config.txt. You just loose the ability to define your own defaults.
