Is it just me or is the forum boring lately?

Here's a easy formula to counter boredom.

  1. Boredom+opening Trainz and starting a route=less boredom
  2. Boredom+opening gmax to make content=less boredom
Caution must be exercised when using these formulas. They may alleviate most boredom but the side effects can include anger, frustration, irritability, premature grey hair or baldness from pulling your hair out. It can also cause damage to your key board (from pounding on it) your computer desk (from pounding on it) and your fists. (from doing the pounding) :hehe:

I don't know if its just me but the forum has been anything but boring lately!

The "Ignore this thread...just checking forum software thread" mysteriously disappeared.

THEY KILLED IT.

They had the nerve to delete a PIVOTAL and HISTORIC piece of Trainz culture.

I guess that's how it works nowadays, isn't it? Apparently all we have on our minds are trains, and nothing else is worth talking about to the point where it is deleted.

If you people aren't careful, you may just find yourselves without a market.

[/ANGER AND HATRED]

Boredom+Getting Gmax to work=less boredom+more frustartion

Where boredom exceeds frustation, complaining results (B > F = C)

Where frustation exceeds boredom, there is even more complaining
(B < F = C*)

This equation sucks:p .

They already did that before, when they deleted the Off-Topic forum (or didn't bring it back with the rest of the forums, if you want to be pedantic).

Besides, TC3 is coming out soon, and it might have taken attention away from that. :hehe:

Most interesting things are no longer in the off-topic forum, but off-forum altogether. :D

Don't be full of anger or hatred Roo.
It's only a game, and the direction of the game and the forums is always going to be controlled by people who are here for very different reasons to those of us that use them.

Smiley.

Lol, love that piece of your signature Amiga. :hehe:
The uncharitable might describe TC3 as TRS06 SP3, TRS06 as it might have been. :)

However, if the product is as described (and having met a lot of the people responsible, I have no reason to think otherwise) I am more than ready to part with the required cash.

Despite all frustrations, problems and dsappointments, Trainz still represents the best value commercial software I have ever used.

PS no mouse control on the Smiley Fruit Machine? Not very PC friendly.

It would've saved me a lot of time if I'd programmed it for the mouse, but no, it was designed to be used with a joypad primarily.

This was so that it could be added to my Mame Cab, but I've also found it useful when connecting my Laptop to the HDTV in the living room so that all the family can play it with a cordless Joypad.
This encourages more people to play it and compete for the high score.

Take a look at the special page on my site that explains why I've mapped the joypad buttons the way I have.
It really speeds up the gameplay when you don't have to move the hand to hold the reels, and then back again to start.

And if anyone else is still bored, the link to Smiley is below. :D

P.S. I released this game in 1999 commercially, and sold it for over 3 years. This version is Free, although donations are accepted

P.P.S. I didn't name the game after my forum nickname (a common misconception), I used that nickname because I'd already written and named the game long before.

I would like to believe it's MY fault, a point of pride sort of thing! Oh, how I despised that thread............

Good to see your still around Ed and have not changed at all :hehe: .

I missed your posting, it seems you have had a little sleep for a while or as Manual in Fawlty Towers would say "little sleep ... oh nap .... its the same in Spanish" or something to that effect.

I will have to watch that episode again, it was quite good, then all of them where :hehe:

Hey mbv67 here, I noticed that the forums are boring also and I come here to see new threads and I do other things like watching stuff on YouTube and going on Xgen Studios and playing the online games there.

It will pick up soon, as copies of 2009 WBE arrive in stores, and people spend their hard earned money, take them home with their shining faces and beatific smiles, open the DVD drawer in their desktops, put the platter in , close the door and cower in abject fear at what they have wrought!

Yes Sir, it will soon be pretty busy around here all right!:o

'From the ' what it's worth ' department , or ' as Dave remembers it ' ;
The Forum seems to be always slow prior to a release , in this case I am suspecting TS2009 service patch 2 ?

But again , I could be wrong --- ,DLR

The Trainz world will be glowing with with joy and praise and all Trainzers will be euphoric (is that like Euphodic?) with the wonders that they see included within the product they have just purchased. Choirs of angels will be trumpeting and singing praise and jubilation for all to hear.:hehe:

Worries of poor economic times, continued employment, marital stress will be set aside as the computers come alive with 2009 WBE.:D

And... most important....Euphod will be sporting a post count of 4000 or more.... soon(tm).

These will be...The Best of Times.;)

Have fun,

There's been almost nothing in the freeware announcements for HOURS:confused::'(

(you can tell I got REALLY bored, because I've been posting everywhere)
