Now don't take this too badly but have you considered that the first part of your question might be true? After more than five years, I've seen the forum have its ups and downs but boring? There might have been times when there was less to interest me but then there was always GMax and something to create or Surveyor and something to build or Driver and something to ride. There were and are even other forums, both for Trainz and other subjects to provide interesting reading. And then there is always life, you know, the things we do when we're not busy with Trainz. You really should come up for air once in a while.Is it just me or is the forum boring lately?
What can we do to make it more interesting?

LMAO,just maybe becasue a lot of people do have to work more in order to stay ahead so they don't loose their house,or even just to get a little more money to cover gas....which is now at or over 4USD a gallon in most places...Well "new and exciting content" has not been out in recent years.

Yes, I think it is boring these days, for the most part.Is it just me or is the forum boring lately?
But if people are forced to talk about nothing but Trains or Trainz, with every thread that dares to be interesting for other reasons being squashed immediately, then it's going to be boring for all but the most tedious of people eventually.
Oh, and I find it funny when certain people say that an off-topic isn't needed or can't be moderated, and they say it in a thread like this, which is so off-topic (more off-topic than some threads that have been closed anyway. :hehe: )
Now, if you're a teenager, you shouldn't be cooped up in front of the PC monitor all day anyway.
Get outside and play some Football or Rugby or something.
This forum will still be here, and probably just as boring, when you get back.

Yep, summer has traditionally been a time of more content releases for Trainz due to all the younger users (myself included) getting out of school and having more free time (even more if you don't have a job yet). Hopefully this summer will be the same.
Although I still encourage people my age to only do content creation on weeknights...daytime and the weekends (day or night) should definitely not be spent cooped up in front of a computer screen :hehe:

I've already offered to be a Mod for the off-topic forum, and I'm sure that there are a couple more people who would offer their time too, so it doesn't matter if the current mods think it can be moderated or not, as they wouldn't be involved (which may be why they don't want it, lol).
All the work that John Banks did for many years has slowly been undone, and they seem quite happy for it to happen.
