Is Colorado 71 trainz safe to download from?

I was just wondering if it was safe since I was downloading a 2-10-4 from trainz forge. And most of the dependency's I need for it to work are on that site. I was reading a thread posted earlier this year. It said the site got hacked and had a virus on it. And I do not want a virus on the computer I am using. So is it safe now?

Do you have competent and up to date anti-virus and anti-malware software installed on your system (neither of which are a 100% guarantee by the way) ?
Does this software vet any files you have selected for downloading (again no guarantees) ?

AFAIK there is no way that a virus can infect a .cdp file that is loaded and installed by CM.

But, as always, the internet is a dangerous place and you are ultimately responsible for your own safety.

Haven't heard anything concerning about the site since. I downloaded stuff from the site recently, then ran my A/V & malwarebyte thru my system. No problems detected...

The website is safe and also are the files posted there for download. There are just a few pop-up windows posted by bidvertiser. You need just to close them and access the website. Anyway, I removed some of them on some of the pages on my website. If you want to scan the files for viruses I recommend the virustotal website at:
