Perhaps thats why they did not put my birthday (its today) at the bottom of the main forum page .
I have been a member since 2002 so someone should have known

I'm pretty certain the birthdays displayed at the bottom of the forum are automatic, I can't imagine an Auran employee being paid to manually search through the memberlist every single day. Other people's birthdays are showing, are you sure you have your birthday listed correctly in your profile?

Not everyone lives in the US... To the rest of the world, 01-07-2008 is the 1st of July 2008.

Fair enough,I will re-phrase so that the entire English speaking world comprehend (Maybe).

Hi I did change it to visible earlier today but it made no difference it was still not displayed at the bottom of the main forums page.
Other years it has been there even though it was not visible and I even got a message from Auran, but not this time??????
Believe it or not....it is still your birthday whether it shows on the bottom or not. I try to forget mine when they come around....
In any case...Happy Birthday...
You have to go into Calendar Heading above & put it in on your birthday to be shown on the main screen

I just went into calender and realized by birthday was missing too.
Also, the Add new event stuff is for moderators/admins only, if you click you get an error saying you can't access the page.
Maybe they made you a moderator because you're the chosen one.
Was anyone else able to add their birthdays before the shake up?

Which is why I use the DD Mmm YYYY format (unless required or it's obvious such as the first date format mentioned in the first post.) Don't worry, the USA will get the date the "right way" around one of these days :hehe:

Robin Hood, another possible reason (not saying it is though) is that you have to take into account the time difference, althought your local time setting should have taken care of that, but don't quote me on that - see told ya the United States are behind the times :hehe:

Yep,all of them. I didn't think,what I thought was an informative and concise answer,would cause so much trouble out in the colonies. I should have known better.
