Interactive Station

Is it possible to have a station with visable passengers and baggage,
,chn baggage that would load and unload both passengers and baggage!.

There are several stations that have passengers but I don't recall seeing any with baggage. Just search for name = station. If the description doesn't mention passengers, and many of them don't, have a peek at the config.txt and see if it includes attachments for passengers. That should be easy to spot.

As far as I know anything interactive can be setup to load/unload many different products but only one at a time.

Possibilities:
1. A passenger station could be made to load/unload passengers and baggage at the same time if the baggage was part of the individual passenger meshes. Passenger cars would be unchanged.

2. It could be done separately with a baggage car setup for baggage as a product. Spot the baggage car in front of the baggage area - it loads/unloads - spot the passenger car in front of the passenger area, it loads/unloads. What would happen if both cars triggered action at the same time is a guess. Most likely one or the other (whichever triggered first).

3. A combine could be set up to load both - just one at a time. Stop at the passenger trigger point and it load the passengers - move forward a bit to stop over the baggage trigger and it loads their baggage.

4. An interesting thought is what happens if a car stops and tries to trigger both at the same time. Most likely which ever triggered first would operate. What happens after its done is where interesting comes in. Would it ignore the second trigger or trigger on it? This might be worth testing by someone.

G'day dogsdolphin,

...I notice, Sire, that your profile indicates that you are a 'local', although it doesn't provide specifics. If your interest is with modelling the operations of the Victorian Railways then might I draw your attention to my series of VR Station assets. These come in two varieties, viz; the "VR Type '?' Generic" stations and the "VR Type '?' bespoke stations, where the '?' refers to the design type upon which the station is based. The first of these, the "generic" series, are station buildings intended solely as 'static' assets that represent the various 'standard' designs ('A' through ''I') used by the VR through the years upon which the department's architects based the construction of any specific station, once the type required had been established. Each of the design types usually has more than one variety (designated in the asset's title as "- 1a" or "- 1b" et c.), which is distinguished from it's 'sisters' by (more often than not) an alternative paint scheme or sometimes by some structural differences and now and again, both. These assets are all STATIC, that is; none of them are Passenger Interactive and they are 'models' of the station buildings ONLY, needing separate platforms on which to be 'placed' (it has been done this way to provide the greatest possible flexibility in use within any given route)...

...on the other hand, there is the series of "bespoke" stations. These are exact replicas of the stations as per the asset name (for example, "VR Type 'D' Station - Inglewood -", which is an accurate model of the Inglewood station) but these differ from the 'Generic" series, in that ALL of them include the other station buildings (Van Goods Sheds, external toilets, Lamp Rooms, et c., where applicable) AND the platforms...

...these assets are generally (though not always) Passenger Interactive (although no "baggage", as such, is involved). Hand in hand with the "Generic" series of station assets, is the "VR Type 'D' Generic Signalboxes", which represent those station buildings that are signalboxes with 'attached' station facilities (as opposed to those station buildings which have incorporated Signalbays and are designated as "VR Type 'D' Generic Stations")...

...you can find all of these assets by searching the download station using the search criteria "1854", selecting the "kuid" radio button option and making sure that ALL of the Trainz build options are selected. This search will not only bring to light all of the assets that I have released under the auspices of the Victrainz Group (a group of Trainz creators dedicated to modelling the operations of the Victorian Railways in Trainz) but all of those from other contributors within the group...
