I need help regarding passenger trains

I made my own route and added a train station, I of course expected the passengers to board the wagons, but none of them did. I asked the same question in the official discord and someone told me the wagons may not support passenger loading. I'm using built in content so nothing should go wrong, right? Either way, I'm a little confused and this is my first time actually playing TANE so yeah...

The short answer is the wagons and coaches carry product which might happen to be passengers. You can determine this in the config.txt file. Some passenger sets a have a different kuid so won't load unless they coach has it in it's config.txt file.

Grab Middleton for laptops and look at the coaches and passengers to get an idea of how it works.

Not all stations or carriages have the script for passenger loading. You need to say which station and carriage you are using as they all vary depending on how old the asset is.

Is this both for vanilla and mod content?
Trainz is very flexible. I use notepad++ to look at the config.txt files.

Take a look at Middleton, both the passenger stations and the coaches. kuid2:86627:100529:10 for the coach and kuid2:122285:3335:21 for the station.

Now take a look at <kuid:86627:100718> this uses a different passenger set.

So there are default passenger sets but you can use others. For example one of my ships uses passengers from the 1800s.

Hello, I solved the issue. It appears I didn't install a station with enabled passengers, but it's fixed now. Thanks for the help anyway, cheers, Von!

Typically we put an invisible station over a model of one. The invisible stations are robust and the scripts work nicely.
