Hi Lads. I am still having problems trying to download the settle & carlise program, I have now got past the user information thanks to your help, but now I am stuck at select destination folder, were should ts 2009 skipton and carlise pack be installed. It gives me a folder so I carry on and install with the rest of the program.

But when it is finished and I open up trains 2009, all I have is the settle and carlise program no trainzs 2009 and the surveyor is blacked out, it has not joined up. All through the installation there is nothing asking me if I want to join up to 2009. Hope somebody can help. Thank you.

Hi.

You need to select the "..." box next to the installation directory, and lead it into the path of the game you wish to install it into.

Leaving it as-is installs it as a standalone game. Selecting the destination to TS2009, TS2010 or TS12 installs it into the game as an add-on.

OK - bear in mind that you may run into issues at that build, as I've been advising people to install SnC and similar packs at build 40040.

Hi Shane thanks for the advice, do I uninstall trainz 2009 from my computer and do a fresh restall up to build 40040 or would you recommend something else.

Mallard2007,

Leave SnC installed where is is. Open the folder SnC install folder and find a file called snc.ja in the folder called 'built in'. Copy this file across to your 'built in' folder in your full version of TRS2009. Open content manager in your full version game and run an extended database repair. Once this has finsihed launch the full version game and off the splash screen go to 'Options' and in the 'General' tab you will see a box into which you need to enter the serial number of SnC and click the add button. This will bring all the SnC content into your full version game.

As Shane says its wise to update your version of 2009 with the available patches to avoid any problems. I am running 2009 SP4 (Version 44653) and have no problems with the SnC add on but I did install the SnC updates from here http://www.settleandcarlisle.co.uk/ (where it says 'Service pack available')
