Instal HELP!!

OK - I do remember seeing something similar happening before to another user. It may be worth moving the files to a new folder (preferably on the Desktop) and trying to run from there. Also, if you are using Windows Vista or 7, right-click the installer and click Run as Administrator.

Just the setup file. I had to put the .exe on the end of it. This is version 12. I did not have any version or trainz on my computer prior to this download.

OK. Reason I asked is because sometimes there are extra bits at the end or start of the filename which may make a difference.

Have a look at the image below, from Simulator Central, and see if it matches yours.

EDIT: The file type column and the date column may differ

That's OK, as that icon is to do with VLC Media Player, and does not affect how the file functions.

Zec may have other ideas on how to proceed, though, as something is not right. He may revert your download files to the 4-file format which is easier to download.

It's OK - this is the first time that a digital download problem has baffled me, as I've managed to solve others using the advice I have given.

2009 is rubbish compared to TS12, be patient the helpdesk will sort you out, no idea what MS 2013 is, never heard of it.

Haven't seen this mentioned so.
If you have Windows 7 you are installing as Administrator? otherwise you will have problems, right click setup.exe click run as Administrator.

ok, I have it working. Apparently you cannot donwload this ontot a portable device like I did. For some reason the computer will not recognize the files if it is not downloaded onto the main hard drive of your system.
