importing archive

To restore your content, import both the Local and Original folders from your old install-----------

OK done that all 8Gbs of it , Now where in the old copy of 2012 do I find a copy of the layout i was working on in Surveyor , I tried importing the `Archive` that I had saved ( . cmpa ) into Contant manager which was over 2Gbs but It doesn`t show up in the layouts menu on the start page , I figure it must be in one of the folders in the save copy of tranz2012
Can anyone help please'

Archives don't seem to transfer between different installs, I avoid them, saving to cdp does the same thing and is about the same size, To restore an archive I think you have to use unarchive after selecting it in CM. It as I understand it, is only useful for the install it was done on if that makes sense.

Try a Windows search on the old Local and Original folders for the kuid, that should find it and use the import on the folder if it finds it, if its not there it may still be in the backup folders.
