Image2TGA under Win7 trawling issues

#1 I had to manually "run as admin" so as to setup the "open with" macros in TS12's Content Manager.

#2 After that I tried using the "open with" to trawl for, and convert, textures to TGAs and TEXTURE.TXT files. When I did I found it only converted *some* of them, not all.

I tried setting image2tga to run as administrator using the properties dialog box. No change. Still only converts some of them.

I tried checking the trawl log, and it's empty.

I am having similar problems. I have ver 1.25. July 2013. It will trawl though the selected file but only a few of the image files are adjusted to remove the single colour warning.

I regressed to version 1.22.
Three problems occur where you are trying to get rid of uniform color defects:

If the file is compressed you have to uncompress it.
If it is a 1x1 pixel it will not look at it. This is a uniform color by definition. Has to be 2x2 pixels or larger for Images2TGA to process it.
In some versions a file smaller than 8x8 was ignored.

There are only one or two assets that cannot be fixed with Ver 1.22.

Indeed - version 1.22 is still available on my tutorial site (in fact most versions back to 1.18 are still available).

A note though. If you are trying to use Images2TGA on payware DLC content in TS12 SP1, it will fail.

Which version of Images2TGA are you running?

Shane

The latest one, which ever it is.

It's not DLC content.

I *can* convert the textures to tga/texture.txt *if* I open for edit in explorer and then manually open each texture and select "save as".

I prefer to update Jointed Rail's bogey's so that they keep their sounds to themselves and don't infect everything else on the route. (add a "bogey" tag to the "default" container within the "tracksound" container in the config file)
