I've always wanted to know how to activate the ALCO PA's, E and F units's mars lights from Trainz Forge. If anyone knows how to do it, please reply here.

Sometimes the scripting automatically will enable that on some locomotives when set to forward and actually moving. I also have seen pressing the "END" button on the keyboard activate it. I don't know if it is a matter of asset, script, Trainz version, or combination. That is all I have to offer in that experience. Maybe I should download a Trainz Forge unit by trainboi1 and see what it takes... let you know in a bit.

I installed the Southern Pacific F unit pack, and must say it was actually a delight. Using the "END" key enabled the MARS light on the first one I tried.

I commend the updated units; they are very well detailed compared to past units. I'm going to have fun with these.

END used to be used for the pantograph?
Let me look...
Keypad 1 or End for pantograph. So, since the F units I tested do not have a pantograph, this is instead enable and disable for the MARS light. You can use Keypad 1 also, I just tried it.

What is the END button> I'm on MacBook.
On a Mac, the equivalent to the "End" key is to press Command + Right Arrow which will move your cursor to the end of the current line of text; to navigate to the end of a document, you can use Fn + Right Arrow.

Key points about Mac and "End" key functionality:
  • No dedicated "End" key: Mac keyboards typically don't have a separate "End" key.

  • Command + Right Arrow: This keyboard shortcut replicates the "End" key functionality to move to the end of a line within a text field.

  • Fn + Right Arrow: To navigate to the end of a document, you can press the Function key along with the Right Arrow key.
