I wonder how this error slipped through?

Just checking out the roads that Ive been laying and saw this vehicle pass by. Im curious how it slipped by as its a built in asset for UK routes.

While talking about UK routes - is anyone besides me having a problem with "UK Age of Steam"? For some reason I cant explain - its not generating any cars on the roads.

Hi AntonyVW,

The error in the text on the police car is not an error as far as Trainz is concerned, text on a skin is not checked in any of the checks that items go through.

As for the UK Age of Steam region, it was made for TRS2004 and the method of getting cars on the roads was changed in TS2010. There is a thread (probably more than one) on the forums about this. Search the forums for traffic or traffic on roads.

Thanks Bill69. I wasn't thinking it was a problem except for the artist who did the textures. But it does go to show how little errors get missed.
As for the other issue, I had it working ok before SP1 but not since. However I shall go do some research on what you have said. Thanks again

Hi Antony,

To get the text the right way round on some textures you have to reverse the texture before adding the text, then change the whole texture back to it's original orientation after adding the text. It's possible the creator did not know about that. I have seen other items with the text the wrong way round on one side.
