I/O error TRS2006 install: File: D:\Install\data2.cab

Hello everyone:
I bought the TRAINZ collection on March 26, 2008 and it arrived in only 5 days (GREAT!).
TRS2004 installed perfectly (GREAT!).
TRS2006 won't install (NOT so GREAT). I always get an error!
(early during data install there is an I/O error:
File: D:\Install\data2.cab) and everything stops.
Is this a computer problem or is the CD defective??

I have tried to contact Auran a few times (I bought it over their Internet shop) but haven't received an answer yet to my emails.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, it sounds like a faulty disc.

Make sure you're using the web form to contact them, rather than an Email, because the Email help system isn't used any more.

The "Contact Us" link is at the bottom right of this page.

You may have already done that, but I thought it was worth mentioning just in case.

Hi, my trainz 2006 will not install. It has been installed on the same system before but it had to be uninstalled for one reason or another. It worked fine then. Now it says there's an error and if the error keeps occuring i should contact the vendor: auran. You may think this is not relevant but this is the only thread i could find that is even partially related. :'(
