Turn off your Favourites in settings and change the ratings from 5 star to none in surveyor settings

There is most likely a dependency that you need to download before it will work, it could be anything from a set of bogies to a texture. Try right clicking on the item in question from the CMP, then from the pop up click on view dependencies. This should highlight any faulty or missing items.
Woops,........ I should have asked which copy of trainz you have?

I suggest then, that you spend an hour of your time reading the manual.
Once you understand the basics, it will be easier to help you with the specifics.
Trying to tell someone what to do is very difficult, when you can't even find the 'menu'.

Right then, the program that moo's at you is the CMP (content manager plus) and yes it should.
from there click on the open for edit tab.......(do you see any files?)
If so, right click on one of the files, and click on, select all, in the pop up box, and in the same pop up box select edit, this will bring up a second box, at the bottom of that box click on commit.

look save your local file c:/program files/auran/TRS2006/local, to some where safe. now delete trs2006, then run a registry cleaner, (Cclean), now turn off virus checkers, and re-install in adminitrator mode if you have vista or Win7.well I just installed it on my laptop.. then took it off an instaleed it on my desktop i really wanna play(

If you haven't done a complete clean uninstall and reinstall try this. Go to your control panel,uninstall programs,click uninstall. When that is done go to search and type in auran and delete everything listed. Anything pretaining to auran,trainz,paintshed etc.,you want to delete even the folder even if it says empty. Before reinstalling your version of trainz make sure 1. Your pc has the recommended requirements to run the game and 2. You disable your firewalls,anti-virus etc. and 3. Update your pc hardware before reinstalling trainz. 4. After reinstalling trainz and before you run it make sure you have installed any service patches for the game. 5. After the game is installed do a extended data base repair also for cmp before running the game. You should get all green check marks and the game should be a clean/fresh install for you.
