Hi All, well I've installed 2010 build 42203 and after spending a lot of time with a layout I have a lot of disappearances. I successfully laid out a coal mine, power station, a forestry section, a lumber mill and the hyde pulp mill, for a while everything seemed ok, it operated fine till I wanted to add other industries, I added them and connected the tracks, I ran the result a little, then I had to go out, upon returning I couldn't find the additions or half of the tracks or consists.
However if I went and double clicked on my route it went into driver and everything was there (this was from the "Route") when I went back to surveyor half was not there.
At these times, in frustration and trying to solve the problem I rebooted my computer and tried again, half not there, also when I tried to add speedboards and signals to the layout, on some tracks I could not do that, it would not allow me to do that.

I am going back to 2009 until things are fixed.

Peter.

Peter,

The program is working the way it's supposed to, believe it or not!

This sounds like you made changes on the Session layer instead of the Route layer. This would explain why things didn't appear in Surveyor.

I don't get it about this layer thing. I can't see the value of it because it does'nt work like the layer program works in paint shop. THAT is a workable layer program. There are a lot of things you can do in that kind of layer. Maybe I don't understand this one. I need a tutorial I guess.

How come I cant see that link you posted?

it says
you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Do I have to have posted a certain amount of times etc?

...How come I cant see that link you posted?....

I think it's because you appear not to (as far as I can see from your forum
details) registered your version of Trainz.

As far as I know some forum facilities are restricted to users with registered versions. The link was returned by a forum search.
