I can't download anything!

I cannot download anything from CMP for TRS2006. I have tried the helpdesk.
The following is my request to them and their reply.

"Hi There, I have just been reading some of the posts regarding CMP for TRS2006. I also just paid AUD$25.00 for an FCT for 12 months but I still cannot download anything. The "Network Speed" window doesn't show anything and when I "start" a download, a "current speed" figure appears which says 0.00Kb/sec. I have a connection, CMP verifies my identity and serial numbers etc and I can see all the items. Please Please PLEASE contact me somehow and tell me I will be able to start downloading."

And their reply;
"Hi ,

Thanks for your message.

I have checked your profile and nothing is preventing or stopping you from downloading.

* Are you connected to the internet when trying to download?
* Have you entered the correct username and password?
* Have you registered the relevant serial number for the game you are trying to download with?
* Do you have an active firewall that is blocking or stopping your downloads?
* Have you read the manual and instructions on how to download correctly?
* Are you trying to download built-in assets or assets that you already have installed?

I checked all their suggestions and can still not download.

Can anyone else help?

I know this is a workaround, but Trainz Downloader Pro will download for you.

Then all you have to do is import the CDP's.

This is not the preferred method, but you, and many others, me too, cannot download with CM2.

The ball is really in Auran's court.

They are taking all this money for First Class Tickets, and not delivering the goods.

And I am sure they would say to me.......but Trainz Downloader Pro works, use that. I just hope I am wrong.

Everybody could ask for their money back, but I feel we would end up with nothing.

The Auran First Class Ticket only allows you to connect to and download via the firstclass.auran.com server. If your system can't download with the default slow server, then a First Class Ticket won't help and you've wasted you money. Most Trainz users can download without problems so there must be something missing in some users connection to Auran.

TRS2006/CMP is kind of tempermental, especially about the assets.tdx index file. It seems that it is slow to update as it should and every once in a while, Trainz deletes it and then rebuilds it very slowly. All the while CMP won't download anything.

If you have an assets.tdx file present and you can successfully ping firstclass.auran.com then try selecting a kuid item using DLS to see if it shows up in the CMP Download Helper Action Panel. If all this works then it should download when you hit the Start button. But, maybe not :^).
