Thanks, everyone!

I've finally learned how to resize this NYC logo without losing resolution...

Sweet!

This will finally quench my thirst for a route of the New York Central Railroad. I hope this is a freeware route and not a payware route. I don't have time to spend money on routes right now, so that's why I am hoping it will be a freeware route. So, did you create New York Central tri-light signals like the real NYC had on those lines. Will I be able to keep it real with Penn Central, Conrail, Metro-North and CSX Transportation operations without making any or very few changes as possible?

Hey Zorronov, are you doing the west shore too? On the west shore they use different signals; searchlights, but with three lights in a triangle form. It's interesting.

That is not very unusual. A lot of commuter railroads actually use them. NJT, Amtrak, SLE, MBTA. They all have at least several of them. NJT has the most still from what I can tell. There are some on the DLS by seniorchief already if anyone is looking for them. The name is tri-light I believe. It seems that they are mostly popular near NYC, so it would make sense that they would be used there.

I think you mean the East shore...the Hudson Line. The River Line is on the West shore. Yes...I use NYC tri-lights there. I'll post a screenie of them when I get a chance.

Cheers,
Fred

Ok...here...

I really enjoy your screenshots, Fred. They always bring back pleasant memories of the trip I took down that line a few years ago. I can't wait for your route to be released.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots, and keep up the great work!

Thanks for the info, Gandalf. I know that north of Milton / Kingston they use safetran and searchlight signals, safetran for the real busy sidings, but searchlight for all else. I was freighthopping south of Kingston on the weekend, which is why I know about the tri-lights. I'd never seen them before and was wondering why they were in use by Newburgh and such but not north!

After its overnight run from Chicago, the 20th Century Limited speeds toward the Big Apple along the Hudson Line...

They are payware and unavailable. When you respond to a thread I suggest you do something other than ask for stuff. It's offensive. Happy Train Day to you too.
