Epic shots Fred

Oh, by the was WCL, at the moment only half of the Hudson is frozen. I would strongly recommend NOT fishing in the Hudson. Whatever fish are still left all have 3 eyes!:hehe:

Would you mind sharing where you got the rock texture at the water line and that marsh grass? The green, not the dry. That wetland area looks amazing.

Is this where the famous NYC Hudsons ran? Because I thought that this was the "Water Level Route" isn't it?

Motorbreath,

I believe that might be the grass by Tundra.

Fred,
Truly amazing work here, words cannot do justice what you have accomplished.

Cheers,
Woody:wave:

Thanks, everyone!

@motorbreath... I released the riverbank textures a couple of days ago. They can be found at www.uslw.net on the Downloads Page. The F-unit reskins are there too. The grass spline is by jankvis <kuid:328583:3198> and is on the DLS.

@gp792... Yes. This is the "Water Level Route". These pics are of the West Shore which was, and is, predominantly freight traffic. The NYC Hudsons ran on the east bank of the Hudson, the Hudson Line...also modelled in this layout.

P.S. George's latest creation...Oil City Freight House...can also be found on the Downloads Page. :)

To me, this looks a lot like the salt marshes that run along the New England coast line (minus the hills)

Great for stripped bass fishing but horrible for getting attacked by green-head flies during the summer months.

Plum Island, exactly!

Man, I got eaten alive trying to fish out at the end of Plum Island, looking south toward Ipswich and Cape Anne. On the ocean side, I'd have to wade out as far as I could (which is pretty far) just to get away from them.

I'd hate to think how bad it would get if they DIDN't have those big wooden box - fly catchers along the main dirt road on the west side.

Anyway, that's what your pic reminds me of! Those are actually GOOD memories :)

I liked Plum Island too...carnivorous flies and all. I used to go there when I lived in Boston in the 70's. Truth...good memories. :)

Cheers,
Fred

Hello Fred,

Very nice shots all of you, a real masterpiece.

Perfect quality everybody !

Thanks for posting this beautiful creations.:Y:

Cheers Frédo.

Thanks Frédo. From someone who has captured the look and feel of rural France as well as you have, that is high praise. :)

Cheers,
Fred

I absolutely love what you've accomplished, but....

We see very little variety on the Riverline. Most of the time we will see CSX Dash 9s or EMD Wide Cabs. Very boring!
