:D Yep...look behind the big tree center right. There's a squirrel that wasn't there in the first one. That's the one everyone misses.

But seriously folks, Peekskill Bay is so big that, though both sides are modelled and all sliders up, it isn't rendered. That's a lot of water!

I had that same problem with my WTC model. I just can't get Trainz to display it from the Jersey shore of the Hudson.

Slightly OT - try TrainzTuner - it allows draw distances to be greatly increased. Frame rates will probably get knocked down a bit, but might make for some nice screenies.

Back On Topic - great screenies Fred!!

Andy :)

Thanks for the link, Andy. I had Trainz Tuner installed on my old computer but had not gotten around to installing it and using it on this route. Now I remember why. What you don't know can't intimidate you. ;)

HOLY MACKERAL! That's a lot of texturing! :D

Beyond the industrial section in Peekskill you can see the 3 portals to Harmon, NY and Magicland's territory.

Peekskill Station in the distance...

On the east bank of the Hudson stands the nuclear power plant at Indian Point. On the River Line to the west you can see Tomkins Cove Power Plant on the right and at the far edge of the map a gravel company (I think). The portal to North Bergen, NJ is just beyond.

Around the bend...Bear Mountain Bridge.

Thanks tbob. Just in case you were wondering, the draw distance for the pics shown above was set in Trainz Tuner to 11.244 km with no fog. Like I said...a lot of water!

Cheers,
Fred

P.S. I think we need a bigger boat. :D

Thanks ish. :)

A Metro North consist speeds north on the Hudson Line while over on the CSX River Subdivision a unit coal train makes a delivery to Tomkins Cove.

I'm just wondering if the far shore is already textured and not displaying, or if you haven't textured the ground yet. I assume you haven't due to your comment about "that's a lot of texturing", but just wanted to double check.
Ed:confused:

That's what I meant, Ed. I haven't textured it yet. I guess I'll just have to cultivate an appreciation for the Zen of texturing. :D

Yes spiffy. It's industry interactive. So far there are...hmmmm...let's see...4 industries and the passenger stations. I plan on adding more later.

Thanks all.

Cheers,
Fred

They're on the DLS. I think they may be UTC content. They aren't industry interactive. The AI stiops at the stations and just acts like they are loading. ;)

Hudson River

Amazing..... I have myself been working on the same line. Living in Croton on Hudson after having resided in Crestwood and New Rochelle, I have dedicated my time in realizing the three lines. As for Hudson, I have completed the line from Grand Central to New Hamburg. Will plan to reach Poughkeepsie early next year.

How can we cooperate ??
