Hi there Fred, brilliant shots u've been putting out recently mate, top stuff:)
Would you be able to stick up a screenie of the minimap showing how many baseboards you've covered in 4 years of work? I'd be interested to know, my route that im working on is roughly 50km with dense forest the whole length and it could just about take for ever to scenic it all and get everything done...:)

Keep up the awesomeness:cool:

Sure thing, scratchy. Mind you, this is from someone who took nearly 60 hours to reskin an F-unit. I'm not the fastest route builder in town.

The Hudson River Route under construction...sorry for the inconvenience. Watch your step, please! :hehe:

Great shots as always Fred. I respect the hard work and time you are putting into this and I am glad you enjoy it. I'm tinkering with a route about 60 km in length myself and sometimes, I just see this huge void of stuff to do that cannot possibly get done. I know you how you feel Scratchy. There's mainline, some sidings, some spurs, yards...but I am inspired because I see how much you enjoy building and driving (I find myself doing that a lot lately on my own route: of what little I've built :hehe:). It's just nice to see others not rushing and "enjoying the journey" so to speak (and that others are attempting similar things of length).

That's a lot of progress in my opinion, especially when you consider that there are really two lines and you have to do everything on both sides and in between (although hopefully the water is pretty quick to do).

I like the worn road. Definitely plenty of those everywhere. It would be neat to see a pothole-ridden road in trainz. Those are pretty popular in real life too. :hehe:

Keep up the great work!

Gisa ^^

beautiful shot Fred

As always very very nice shots of your beautiful route.
the road in post #663 is that on the dls or you made yourself? Its a very nice one and better that the wheel tracks unless I miss something maybe the texture under makes it looks different and better!;)

He made it himself I believe; see the "Railroad Crossing Screenshots" thread. :D ;)

Regards.

Thanks everyone! I made that the other day. I was working on this area and needed a worn, beat up road so I started playing around. When I'm satisfied with it, I'll put it up on the USLW downloads page.

Cheers,
Fred

Fred my route is screaming for your road

Morning Fred superb detail shot but i repeat myself over and over right?:o

What is that Building(s) I have seen it somewhere but forgot where when to many things on hand.
In the pict right sight it looks like the dry grass almost looks under an angle and straight up grass on a slight slope.
That would be something having objects like grass patches and groups of brushes adapt to a slope could use a lot of it.
Was there a trick shown in TRS 2004 how to do that (i know parkinson signs now and than).

Have a great weekend working on a great route

Roy and Ning;)

Thanks Roy and Ning. The road's almost ready to be released at USLW. I had a few problems with the mesh, but its sorted out now. The buildings are custom content that I've made for this route and have not been released. I will probably release the one on the left, but the other ones are route specific, like the Indian Point Power Plant and Peekskill Station. The grass grows straight up...but then...plants usually grow toward the light. :)

Cheers,
Fred

Fred what kind of comp. do u have becuase if that was on my computer it would skip like a little 3rd grade girl!

I don't normally talk about hardware but... This computer is getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm planning on building a new machine soon to keep up with this bad boy. Specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+
4 GB Corsair RAM
1000 Watt Corsair Power Supply
2 Nvidia GTS 250 video cards in SLI mode with 512 MB vid memory each
300 GB HD
Samsung SyncMaster 226BW
2 Crossed Fingers

Fred I love your shots and route how it slowly matures like a good old fashioned good quality French wine.
Nice wording saying give me more eye candy:)
