I recently decided to purchase the TRS22 Platinum Steam version of Trainz. Prior to this I have owned several versions of Trainz up to and including the TRS 2019 Platinum. After installing TRS22 I noticed that most (or all?) of my older Trainz version content was available in Content Store. I read somewhere that although I can install it into my Steam TRS22 installation it may not work properly. So I figured I should re-purchase the TRS22 Steam version of any DLC I want to play in TRS22. When I was playing the non-Steam version of TRS19, I purchased TRS19-Midwestern Branch. This appeared in Content Store as "TRS19 - Midwestern Branch". So now having purchased TRS22 Trainz from Steam, I found the same DLC named "Trainz 2022 DLC - Midwestern Branch" and purchased it (and by the way Steam also sells "Trainz 2019 DLC - Midwestern Branch"). The problem however is when I look in Content Store or in the TRS "More Content" filtering on content I own, I only see the TRS19 version of Midwestern Branch listed! My assumption is that the TRS22 DLC was identical to the TRS19 DLC version I had already owned. Is this correct? Did I waste my money? How can I avoid this in the future. Here are other DLC I already owned where I was thinking of re-purchasing the TRS22 version:
- Legacy of the Burlington Northern II
- Fall Harvest Nebraska
- Mojave Subdivision
- Canadian Rocky Mountains - Golden, BC
- Canadian Rocky Mountains - Columbia River Basin
- Milwaukee Road - Avery Drexel
