TRS 2019 / TRS 2022 installation compatibility?

I installed TRS 2019 (N3V downloaded version) shortly after it was released and have purchased additional assets as well. I recently purchased the Steam version of TRS 2022. I noticed in the content manager app it lists all of my purchases I made for TRS 2029. Can I install them using content manager to use in TRS 2022? Or can I only purchase DLC via Steam for TRS 2022?

  • DLC items can only be downloaded and installed from the Trainz Store, not through Content Manager (unless an update has been uploaded to the DLS)
I am not a Steam user but from what has been posted in these forums by N3V and others, the following seems to be the case:-
  • any DLC items you purchased for TRS19 from the Trainz Store (not from Steam) you can also download and install (from the Trainz Store) into TRS22 for no extra charge
  • the Trainz Content Store works for Steam users as well as for Trainz purchased versions of Trainz
  • the more recent DLC items (not certain of the starting Trainz version) purchased from Steam have to be downloaded from the Trainz Store and not from Steam - because of differences between Steam and the Trainz Content Store you have to inform N3V that you have made the purchase using Steam
  • Older DLC items (again not sure of the cutoff version) that were purchased from Steam have to be downloaded from Steam. I do not know if you will have to repurchase the item to install it in TRS22 as well.
Hopefully others with more experience in these matters can clarify.

I should have used the words "Content Store" instead of "Content Manager". I did an audit of all of my purchased content in Content Store, and I see all the new TRS22 Content, as well as all TRS19 content and DLC I purchased directly from the N3V web-based store. Its great I can still play all my non-steam content in my Steam installation of TRS22. I also tried purchasing new DLC via Steam, and I immediately saw it appear in Content Store. Thanks for the info pware.
