How to keep the Odometer, Next Speed Limit, and other assorted HUD's on the screen?

Sometimes (read: when I need it most) the HUD with the route information isn't present. I'd say that 90% of the time it isn't there. I do most of my driving in Quickdrive, does that have anything to do it? It is really frustrating to not know the next signals and speed limits, and there are times when I'd like to just take a quick drive to see how far my route-building has progressed, but I can't becuase the HUD won't show up.

It isn't showing up in the first place, and it is only part of the entire HUD. F5 removes all HUD's, which are shown by default, but these parts are omitted from the HUD at first.

Well, if its usually present on that route/session and its just disappearing, almost all of the F Keys toggle different parts of the HUD. If its not even present on a given route /session then you might need to add it as a Session Rule (Depends on which Trainz you're using. This was the case with TS12, but with TANE so far it seems to be a built in deal).

check and see if MC Custom hud V2 or the original version works for your version. This is a rule that you download from the DLS. Then you add to the rules just like any other rule. The MC Custom hud gives you the state of the next switch, (and distance to it) Next industry (and distance to it) Next signal (yes distance to it) as well as the grade your running on. It also gives the odometer. I personally do not run any route but what I don't have it going. For me this is one of the best assets for trainz.
