How to copy and paste?

Before anybody asks, this isn't about how to coy and paste, but how to copy and paste onto different routes. Does anybody know ho to do this? I asking because every time I try to merge a certain pair of routes together, the game crashes. Therefore I have to copy and paste some items onto another route. Does anybody know if this is possible?

AFAIK the only way is to merge the routes together first.

I found that the game crashes when merging, but quite by accident I discovered this.

After merging and before doing anything else. press ctrl-M to open the minimap view. Then right-click in the minimap to change the location of the compass.

I found that the game didn't crash after doing that. No idea why and no gaurantees it'll work for you, but try it and see. If it does it's worth sharing.
Then copy-and-paste from one part of the merged route to another.

I'm afraid not. However, from some things I heard in the past about Camscott"s models, SP1 causes problems, making once-minor errors rather big, causing assets to become faulty.

Backup your Trainz install to another place. Install the SP1 and the two hot fixes.

The update process takes a very long time, but let it finish and run any database repairs requested. I ran an EDR afterwards to ensure that any errors I had were real errors. It turned out they were real and the stuff had to be repaired.

What kind of errors does CamScott's have?

If the models are missing thumbnails, this is easily done by creating a thumbnail and tag. Other problems are also easily fixed like mode 2 or mode 1 have to be changed to mode day or mode night. There are a few other config typos, but they're also easy to fix. Read through the TS2009 - Wiki for the CCG. It lists the parameters for all of the tags used by the config.txt files.

Well, thumbnails to be exact.

However, I decided to give it a try, but I've had trouble installing it, due to the fact that no matter how much I remove, my computer remains full on 149 GB.

My computer did that also TS12 makes a backup of everything you create and download in trainz. Look in the N3V folder under computer "program files" Then in the ts12 folder go to user data and click on the backup folder. If you delete these files then it will free up a lot of hard drives space. DO THIS WITH CAUTION!!! But it gave my computer alot more hard drive space to.

Thanks for the tip. And out of curiosity, why is it risky? Also, what is the backup needed for anyway?

I tried that today, but for some reason, the .cdp files no longer work, and even worse, ContentManager.exe failed to appear on the "Open Programs" list! Can somebody please help me with this?
