Select more objects to copy and paste to any Trainz 2019 route

Hello, I would like to select more than one object in Trainz 2019 to copy and paste it without forgetting to edit it.

You can't. The old copy/paste selection box is grid based and there's no way to lasso the locked square. What you need to do is update to TRS22 PE or subscribe to Trainz Plus.

Using Surveyor 2.0, the newest version of Surveyor, you can select objects by putting a marquee around them and with those objects still selected, press the CTRL key and select others.

You can then copy and paste these as needed and if you want, you can select areas and save them as scrapbook clippings that you can use later on another route. The only clippings you can't save are from DLC routes.

I'm not certain what you mean by "without forgetting to edit it."

In Surveyor 1.0 in the "F5" tools menu, there is a copy and paste tool. I've tried to find a good online description on how to use this tool, but detailed instructions seem not to exist. There are some YouTube videos, but I can't play them. Try searching on "Trainz copy paste area" and maybe you'll have better bandwidth to play a video.

In the F5 tools menu you should see a red square. Click on that. Then click on your route's surface and hold your left mouse button as you drag the mouse. You should see a white dashed line/rectangle following your mouse pointer. Let go of the mouse button when you have dragged the dashed line rectangle around the objects you are wanting to copy.
Click on the green square in the F5 tools menu. A dashed line rectangle should appear where your mouse pointer is on your route. Move the rectangle where you want and click on the route's surface. The items within the rectangle you made with the red square should appear at the new location. You can paste multiple times.
There is also a compass to change the angle of the pasting on the grid.

There are four icons below the red and green squares. You can select or deselect any or all to control what gets copied and pasted. One is for copying the terrain, the next for copying textures and paint, the next for copying objects and the last for copying track.

Please make a test baseboard and experiment with these tools until my poorly written directions make sense to you.

Is this what you were trying to do?

I don,t rotate objects in Trainz 2022 Surveyor 2.0, especially light signals and other signals without forgetting the beacons
