how to add html startup windows to a driver session?

MKT Forever and always
this has probably been one of my most-wondered about topics of late. the reason it 2 fold. For starters, I've wondered for ages how those little pop up windows you get at the start of say, a built-in PO&N session or Avery-Drexel one are set up. Beyond that, though, I'm getting close to releasing a route I've been working on with a friend of mine for a while, based the old British Movie The Titfield Thunderbolt (the route the branch line in said movie anyway). I'm planning on making a few sessions to go along with the route, and these html screens, and LOTS of scripting, are going to be needed to make them work the way I envision" basically, I'm going to take the person driving the sessions through the plot line of the movie.

I've done some poking around in the built-in sessions of late, and seem to have gotten a bit of a better idea of how this whole html thing works. However, I do have a couple questions (so far, anyway!):

1) from my minimal looking, it appears that one needs a proper html document with the text for the startup screen (forgive me if that's not the right word for it, my brain isn't working like it should today) hidden somewhere for the game to reference. Is there a certain place you NEED this to be-IE somewhere in the TS2010 folder (or what have you, I just run 2010)?

2) If one were to hide this document in the improper place, would it affect the session?
