How to access T:ANE built in content in TRS2022

So, I bought T:ANE PE for the DLC. Haven't installed T:ANE itself. I'm having some issues with missing assets and I'm thinking there might be some of those assets built into T:ANE itself.

If I install T:ANE can I migrate those built-in assets to TRS22? Export as .cdp perhaps?

No it will break TRS22 Content left and right meaning it will make the game Unplayable..!

You can't migrate built-in assets in T:ANE. If you have the DLC, this will also install fine in TRS22 PE since you now own it.

Well, ECML was a bit grim. Collapsed tunnels everywhere. Settle & Carlisle maybe has 10m baseboards or something. The landscape is a bit borked although the route seems fine.

You should install "Additional TANE Assets for TRS19" in your TS22. Just search "simc:sc491" in the in-game Content Store.
It actually came bundled with T:ANE PE!
Pity there's not a 'TRS19 Assets for TRS22' pack. It would fix my Juan problem.
As for the collapsed tunnels (and also bridges), it has been reported several times, but never fixed.
I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell ya!
I had one tunnel the same in Schwaninger Land. And that's supposed to be made for TRS22... Fortunately only the one and simply selecting the asset and clicking in the Z axis field in the info tab (S20) fixed it. Being able to clone the route means I didn't have to do it every session. So that's an improvement.

The collapsed bridges, tunnels (not bridge-type tunnels), and sunken roads occurred to a "surprise" code update back in TS12 HF4 that changed the type of assets are classified and further changes were made in a later T:ANE service pack. I remember when this occurred because many of us route builders were quite miffed because we had to go back and fix bridges and roads as well as other splines such as bridge railings. The tunnel type you have encountered, as I said is not a bridge-type tunnel. In Trainz, tunnel track is considered a type of bridge and not track. The other kind of tunnel found on the ECML route and many others is a create your own tunnel using dig-hole assets, spline tunnel walls, track of choice, and separate tunnel entrances.

In the olden days, splines were a different animal and acted differently from track. After this "update", all kinds of annoying issues occurred including this one. When this was done, it changed how the splines interact with the terrain causing them to sink to ground level wherever a spline point is placed just like track does until the track height is set by adjusting the z-axis. Just clicking on the spline point with the adjustment tool will set "lock" the height to that of the other spline points on the same asset.

As always and as it goes here, many routes were affected, and many route-builders were more than annoyed. We were told that the DLC route would be fixed soon(tm) but soon(tm) never came. For a route that someone purchases, this is a glaringly obvious bugger on N3V's nose.

I have a fondness for the UK railway system. To me it is synonymous with the glory days of rail. Where I grew up we had a simple hub and spoke network. Most of it was double track though where I lived it was only single track. When I was 19 I moved to the UK and was impressed by the complexity of their network. I remember being astonished at the sight of another train travelling in the same direction as the one I was on! Sounds so provincial now!

So with that background I thought ECML could be something. Compared with some contemporary offerings it's a sketch at best. I did consider going through and fixing the tunnels but I was struggling to even find a grab point on the ones I tried. At that point I decided ot was better to invest my time in something more rewarding. Settle & Carlisle, which has some odd texturing quirks in TRS22 appears to have more potential for upgrading. I may have a go at it at some point.

Coming from across the pond, I was amazed at the amount of rail activity and lines when I visited in the mid-80s while the railways were being "streamlined again" by the government and even then, things were busy.

ECML would be quite the job due to the number of splines. I've looked at the route myself and became instantly tired due to the amount of work needed to fix these things that sadly N3V is ignoring.

I've had the Settle and Carlisle since the route and sessions were sold for TS2009. From what I remember, the route had a lot more trees than this version does and the track looked a lot better. It makes me wonder if something broke in the translation somewhere.

I enjoyed the original S@C, spending many happy hours adding various destinations & industries Sadly the excellent prints of the stations have been lost. Many things I could not take with me.
Tried the "Purchased" route with TRS 22+ but am disappointed with areas showing what look like yellow scaffolding.
Many thanks to those who put the original out for purchase.

I enjoyed the original route too. I never added any industries and just enjoyed the drive.

The yellow scaffolding indicates the location of the missing dependencies. From what I could figure out, they are mostly trees and bushes. I always wondered why N3V didn't check the route prior to releasing it to the public.
