how do I create roads/highways?

Im not to 2010:EE and need to understand how to build roads and highwys. Any thoughts would be a big help.

Your not very specific but if you want to create new road assets you'll have to use Gmax or Blender. If you just want to lay roads for a route in Surveyor then click the Objects pull out (or press F3 key) and select the Spline Mode Icon or press S.
