How can you prevent that assets become built-in?

Hi, You may still be puzzled by why some TRS2010 and earlier builtins don't show as builtins in TS12. Legacy builtins, other than those being used specifically for TS12 routes and sessions and any add-ons like Murchison 2 or DLCs like Blue Comet, were purged from the builtin files and placed on the DLS. As any of these previous builtins were masked they would not have shown errors while they were builtin unless opened for edit, but now that they are non-builtin their true error status is revealed as soon as you download from DLS. You should also note that if viewing assets in various Trainz versions and comparing the results, they will differ because validation is trainz-build related.

Hello ianwoodmore,

Thank you for your extra information about the built-in assets.

Finally, I have taken a decision about continuing my routebuilding.

I did start my building of a Tram/Train route in Trainz2010, I will continue using Trainz2010, only this time, I will use a fresh installed copy of Trainz2010 and will try to avoid errors and warnings. If an asset is installed and running without errors/warnings, I will use the skip option when necessary when installing a new cdp or cdp package.

Nearly, all older Belgium related assets are showing no more errors in Trainz2010. Those Belgian assets, which I can't correct will not be used. I tried to contact the builders, but unfortunately didn't receive any reply.

Hopefully, Auran will be able to find a solution in Trainz2010/TS12 concerning the Taddeamon error when importing large content into Trainz2010/TS12.

TS12 will be used for running routes and perhaps building non-Belgium related routes.

Best regards

Kurt

There is that possibilty, and I've even confirmed it with a few built-in assets myself (incl. the AJS built-in stations)

Shane

I know about that and once it comes on my mind again I ask myself: How come Auran, WTF??? Unbelievable ignorance and/or disorderliness...
BTW any built-in asset can be removed, repaired or modified and eventually put in .ja archive again.
