How can I change a road number?

I purchased the CORP Central Oregon & Pacific locomotives from Jointed Rail to run on my route because I see them everyday in my town, and would love to have the same road numbers in the sim that match the real ones but cannot seem to get it to work. I went into "edit in explorer" and changed the range of numbers so I can get the two I want and it worked, but with auto running numbers it changes every time I go into driver. I guess what I am asking is how do I keep the road numbers the same without them changing every time I go into driver. Thanks, Danny

Hi Danny,

Make the changes in your session when you setup the locomotives on your route. These types of changes are session-specific like industries and AI commands.

Won't work John - The specific numbers he requires are outside the ARN range for the models he is using, so it reverts to an in-range number when entering Driver.

Just an example of why cross-posting sorta wastes every body's time...

Thanks Andy. I didn't know his number range was higher than what is in the range in Driver.

Is there a way of updating the ARN table to include the higher numbers?

I've used this only a few times since I spend most of my time building my route in Surveyor.

In the loco config find the 'extensions' container which includes the lines

number_low
number_high

Edit the values to whatever suits...
