I'll go with the love/hate vote. I love the things I can decide to do with Trainz. I go a little crazy making prospective routes that never get finished.
My feelings are the opposite when dealing with assets that break and need to be fixed.
Read a nice article on the port railroad that serves the Houston Ship Channel. Eleven 1-meter dems later, it was coming together. But it's crazy. Way too big to simulate properly. Reportedly can hold 10k railcars in yards and sidings. Try that in Trainz!
My next project has been the 16 track hump yard in Beaumont TX and industries at Port Arthur nearby. (Unfortunately with 10-meter dems.) Maybe that's small enough to actually use. Don't hold your breath. The hump yard is still flat.
