Big Question. How do you change engine (Chuff-Chuff) Sounds or Horn (steam Whistle) in the config file? If so Please tell me how you do that.

Bob,
If you are running 2006, go into CMP select "name" then type in your locomotive name, it will come up, then select it and choose "edit" in the menu that will pop up you can change the horn, engine, etc.
Let me know if that helps.

Before you can do Woody's suggestion you'll need to drive every loco in your system to find which ones have the sounds you want. Then check the config.txt file of each candidate loco to get the kuid numbers of enginesound and enginehorn files. Then you can make the changes suggested by Woody.

I was talking about maybe like a third party site. I was a little upset when I bought my es44dc/ac locomotives from WOT that they had a crappy default horn...
