Just trying out HOG again and downloaded the latest version of Microdem and HOG. I only need it for the terrain and don't use USA Tiger data so that limits deleting excess baseboards, etc........Also only need coastal and rivers but seems to be OK in generating the terrain to .gnd file. Wewain's tutorial almost essential for the Microdem part and opening srtm2 data. Microdem is the hardest bit also a few things have altered but works basically the same as before of a few years ago............ HOG is fairly easy as only need to enter the top line details, min and max height and the bottom line and save to route name mapfile........ Using Vista and TC3 so the .gnd file name needs to be mapfile to overwrite the one baseboard route you made and whatever you have named it. The tga file overwrites this with the complete size of the route ...... I am aware of Transdem................ Barry......... http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wewain/trainz/homepage.htm
