HO Layout is Almost Presentable!

Howdy folks,

I've been getting some work done on my HO layout in my free time since school got out. It still needs some work but I think it's getting there.

A P32BWH with a trio of Superliners sits at the main station on the layout.

The vehicle shops are behind the flyover ramp, a Kenworth with a sleeper sits with it's hood open while a Deere 5020 sits and a flatbed GMC Topkick wait in front of the shop to unload a broken Deere G.

A Deere and a Topkick dumpbody sit in front of the yard tower.

An old farm house waits to be torn down by a backhoe while a Deere 5020 rests beside it and a 4020 sits on the other side of the tracks with a V-Tank manuer spreader.

The woods on the corner of the layout. A Bobcat mini-excavatr performs landscape work on the pond's shore.

The smaller commuter station on the opposite side of the layout. Some Deere construction equipment work on the driveway and foundation for a future structure.

Very nice! It's better then the one that is currently packed away in my attic for I don't know how long.
But at least trainz can take it's place(kinda)
And come to find out my neighbor has a train set!:hehe: :o Never knew that. He is something like 80 years old and he is still going with it. Only thing is the track don't work. but he said he's gonna replace it soon. And I can help him with that:)
But yet your set is still very nice! Keep it up on it,and hopefully you will be able to expand on it sometime down the road.

I really like that! Especally the train crossing! But personally, while I prefer to use Bachmanns E-Z track, I like Life-Like's grade crossings, as they are a bit more detailed and have old signs and such! Although their pressure platform thing that activates the gates is a bit dated, not to mention troublesome for my Bachmann and IHC 4-4-0's. And their flashers don't operate! I wish they woud try some newer technique, like what Lionel did with its crossings!:o

personally i prefer uk hornby track and separate ballast, like this which i made at a friend's house (my layouts currently in bits with most going to be sold at some point)

this didnt get much further before it had to be dismantled
