My first dabble with elevated HO track!

Yes, this came out sooooo goood, I feel it needs a thread of it's own! I broke out the Bachmann piers today and got a little crazy. Atleast now I have extended sidings for room to hold all my freight cars, and I even made a poor-man's elevated station.

Anyways, I'm extremely happy with the end result! Please tell me what ya'll think!

Ok, here we have a profile from the east end of the layout facing west.

Looks good. You just need to add some stone walls to the station to finish it out and decorate the elevated section to make a real winner.
Looks like the layout is making real progress.

 Claude

I'm not sure it's quite such a good idea to have the switch on such a random incline...

But I do like all the stuff you're doing with your layout!

Looks like they didn't get her tied down very well.... :D

Yeah, it's hard to find decent transport these days :hehe:

I may be getting that particular locomotive custom painted in CT DoT McGinnis paint.

I don't mind the Amtrak paint, but the Responsibility, etc. under the cab don't fly too well with me. Oh well, atleast I should finish the kit first.

On my old Layout I had a climb that went up 18 inches over about 25 feet, most of the newer locos (British Outline) would have a hard time with 3 coaches on, but the olderl ocos with traction tyres could take it in their stride!!!!
The layout I am building at the moment will not have any elevation on it.....photos at
