hi on trans railroad simulator 2004 i go on the website to download new locos and some work and some dont for example when i download one it shows in the box in the game but you cant selct it to place on to the track or there is no picture but the name of the loco is in the list or the picture is a white box and when you do select it and then selct another it dissapears from the list i have donwloaded locos using the download helper to and it happens ejther way any ideas?

i was waiting for someone to have this problem.
well,
first off,
was that content paint shed?
reskins are fine.
second, were you using FTP or download helper?
if its download helper, it should download all dependencies.
if it's FTP, you have to download dependencies yourself.

Hi fezzz
Chances are you are short of a dependencies as helper sometimes fails to grab them all so a recheck at the DLS is the first thing to try
Click on details of the loco in question and then on Download Page in the pop up box the next screen will show you all the required items
Also if you haven’t already done so get yourself a copy of Trainz Obejects an invaluable program from Tafweb at http://www.tafweb-trainz.co.uk/downloads.html that will help sort out most problems of this type

Note - I don't think that you really need it for Trainz Objects to work - I just use it as an object viewer - and some items can't be viewed by it.

Also check the option when TO loads, to FULL ERROR checking otherwise it can skip somethings and it will miss errors. Sometimes there are missing quote marks or other typos in the config files that will cause dependencies not to load even though you may have them on your hard drive. The error can be as simple as a missing quote to a typo in the kuid table pointing to a specific asset.
