Help with merging routes

Hi there,

I am lost with merging routes. I go to the merge route option in TS2009 and the merge window opens, but i dont know what to do from there, could you please assist me?

This is a little confusing.

In the merge routes window, choose the route you want to merge in.

By default the merged route sits in the middle of your current route.

Using the arrows on the screen, inner arrows I think move the route position. Outer arrows move the window. (It maybe the opposite, I'm not at my Trainz PC to check).

Position the merging route to where you want to connect it. Remember there's no way to change height or direction. You may need some in between baseboards to make up the difference in height or connection.

When the merge is done, the added in route will appear where you want it. Now connect roads, rivers, and tracks however you wish.

In addition to John's explanation if there are any tiles showing up in RED, then they are overlapping and cannot be merged until the overlap is removed. If using 2010, then you also have to make sure that there are no duplicated Layer names. If there are, double-click one of them and change the name.
