Help with Dependencies!

Hello all! I am new to Trainz 12, I have downloaded 2 routes New England Coastal and Cattaraugus Creek & Lake Erie ( with FCT) and I have the following dependency issues with M: UltraTreez-Conifer 04 (Performance/MP): Unknown Location: <kuid2:72938:43151:2>
Faulty dependencies: M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP). Any help with getting these two files straightened out is appreciated. Thanks, Joe

I did a CM search:
M: UltraTreez-Conifer 04
Its on the DLC....so . I don't know what to tell you.

Hi Joe and welcome to Trainz and to the famous forums here!

As has been mentioned, the tree is located on the Download Station (DLS) and should be there for download. Sometimes Content Manager, which is sometimes affectionately referred to as CM, doesn't always find things it's supposed to. What you can try to do is right click on the route, and view dependencies, and click view in main list. This will bring up the dependencies installed, and sometimes the missing ones will appear with the red and black icon. You can then download the asset again.

For the faulty asset, please post the error up here and one of us can help you with the error fix. There are extensive posts on error fixing and once you get the hang of the process, you'll find that it's pretty easy for most issues.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have the file downloaded BUT in content manager it shows an alert for the M: UltraTreez-Conifer 04. That alert (If I am reading it correctly) shows that I have dependency issues with it. The message specifically says:Unknown Location: <kuid2:72938:43151:2>
Faulty dependencies: M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP). I need to find Unknown Location: <kuid2:72938:43151:2> and away to correct the Faulty dependencies: M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP).

What kind of error do you have with Conifer 02?

This might be a simple copy something from another, such as a missing texture, to fix the problem.

John, When in CM, A thumbnail of UltraTreez Conifer 04 shows under the Missing Dependency Tab. When I write click on the yellow symbol with the question mark, I get a menu and when I click on ASSET DEPENDENCIES I get a window that shows three items. They are <kuid2:72938:43151:2, M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP) and Speed Tree library. According to info in the window, there is one unknown : Unknown Location: <kuid2:72938:4315:2> and one broken dependency: Faulty dependencies: M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP). If I knew how to post a screenie I would be much clearer. But when I click insert picture I have to put in a URL. Cant understand how to upload from my files.

Hello Joe and welcome to the forums.

In my CM the asset you mention has an update:

M: UltraTreez-Conifer 04 (Performance/MP),<kuid2:72938:43154:3>

and the dependencies show up as:

M: UltraTreez-Conifer 01 (Performance/MP),<kuid2:72938:43151:3>
M: UltraTreez-Conifer 02 (Performance/MP),<kuid2:72938:43152:3>
SpeedTree Library,<kuid:401543:1077>

The dependencies also show as having updates compared to the ones you mention.

One thing to be noted is that the conifer 02 is 43152 not 4315 so adding a 2 to the kuid reference in the kuid table might get round your problem, either that or download the updates.
