HELP with content mnager!!!!

When i start downloading things to content manager and click start to start to start the download, the selected items that i want to download dont appear to be downloading. But when i go to the surveyor they seem to have actually downloaded! Could someone please explain what is happening?
Im using Trs 2009 and im not that much of an expert.

Maybe the stuff you've been trying to download is stuff you already have. I went through a lot of that when I first started using TS2010.

I appreciate your help but they were not downloaded before i downloaded them.
Oh well, at least they are downloading.
