Hello John,
I understand that it is extremely difficult to satisfy all the "Trainzers". In the end some will be happy, others will be disappointed.
Until the next service pack is ready, I can still do and learn some other things.
Concerning the catenary, pylons, wire placement within a route, I would like to find some realy handy placement system. It seems that everyone has to find his/her own placement system.
However, having said that, perhaps the solution is laying in one of Belgiums neighbouring countries. So last Sunday, I started my search and found information on this French site
http://globuletrainz.free.fr/crea.php?sect=0&page=0 .
On this site I found the document : Le guide de la caténaire pour les nuls - ( translated = ) Catenary guide for dummies.
This document explains a lot and several other documents which can be found in the voies ( = tracks ) section - page 2 are also available.
As some French trains are also riding on the Belgian railwaytrack, It is most likely that I will be able to use Globule's/Claudius system. Presently, I'm installing all the cdp's in Trainz2010 and will start doing some tests.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed

.
Best regards
