HELP! Downloading troubles.

Hiya.

Just bought trainz 2006 off interweb, got it all set up no probs but cant get the program to communicate over the internet.

I.E when i goto trainz exchange, the program reports, that my internet connection is not active? But all seems ok with all other programs.

SO, if I goto the download section, and try to download new content, (via the helper), my download manager starts as it should so, then says I have to register my user and pass, which I have done in the settings, all is well, then when I start the download, a whistle blows, looks like something may happen, but no download speed, the file just sits there doing nothing and not downloading!

Basicly the program will not communicate via the web, I have tried firewall, etc to no avail, thing is my 1st class ticket will have expired by the time I get it working!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhh..am I missing something really silly here?

May I suggest you do a search of the forum to see if there is any help there, specifically the TRS2006 section.

Thought it may have been a issue, needing a SP1 update.

I downloaded the patch from 2773 to 309 something, (Mine is build 2773) now the whole sim wil not start at all!

lol

Back to train sim, I think, thnaks for all your help, life is to short to mess with this..

If you cannot run the sim after installing Sp1, then it is most likely a faulty install of SP1. I recommend you re-read the thread on SP1 in the FAQs, Tips, and Tricks subsection of the TRS206 subforum.
