Hello And...

So I'm new to trainz, I just bought the game this weekend(TANE), and I'm having a few issues with some of the DLC I've acquired already with a little surplus in the yearly budget. First off I have to say I love the game and the amount of content out there for it, I have TS2017 as well and since the TANE release I'd say the two are competitive. Anyways, my first issue is with some JR downloads. Some of the freeware and payware I downloaded came with missing dependencies and some with obsolete trainz build numbers. Yes I have asked a few friends and also done quite a bit of Googling to see if I can correct the issues but I've so far had no luck. I was wondering if there is any way to fix these issues so I can use these units in the game. TIA.

Welcome to Trainz I hope you have many years of enjoyment. If you right click on the assets with missing dependencies and choose List Dependencies from the drop down menu in turn you can select and download those dependencies from DLS again by right clicking on them and selecting Download. Downloading from the DLS can be slow at time but by purchasing a 1st Class Ticket it does give you priority and much faster downloads and well worth considering.

There are a number of assets built into Trainz which have already become obsolete but don't worry about then unless they are needed when they will likely have already shown as missing. You do however need to ensure that your version of Trainz is at the lated build. Again if you have a recent downloaded version of Trainz it probably will be. Thanks for the reply and warm welcome, I did exactly as you told me and it gave me the error message that my trainz account is not authorized? I'm not sure why it wouldn't be but like I said I'm new and have a lot of learning to do. I guess this begs the question how do I authorize my account seeing as downloading from Steam doesn't give you a serial number.

Have you entered your MyTrainz details in the Trainz Settings box (Internet tab)? Reason I ask is that T:ANE isn't appearing next to your username.

Yes it's all set up through the launcher. I'm not sure why it's not showing up online but it says it's all set up and confirmed through where I start the game from.

I had the same problem. I had to introduce my Serial Number into My Trainz. The game recognized I had the game and let me download it, but as it was retail I had to introduce the serial key not only in the TANE window, but on the website too. Greetings

Sometimes the server doesn't run the script properly. Put in a service ticket with the helpdesk and they'll fix it.

Many of Jointed Rails older models require dependencies that are available on the JR website. Look in the freeware section and you should find things like cabs, trucks, sounds and general dependencies. These will possibly solve some of your prolems if you have not already got them.
