Headlights

Chadd04

Knuckle Shuffling
So another bug in TRS19 (go figure). It appears that currently if I make a new route, and place an engine, and then go into driver mode, the headlights don't work. Close out and go into a route that existed before the last update, lights work fine, even if its the same engine that I tried in the new route. Doesn't seem to matter who made the engine i.e. JR, RRMODS, or someone else, none of them work.

I find the lights work about half the time, doesn't seem to matter if it's 'L' on the k'board or the headlight icon on the interface, or ctrl+right click on the loco, the result is about 50/50. Darned if I can work out what the determining variable is, but I suspect that blind luck is involved, except it's a computer, so it should be repeatable....

Interesting, I don't get this bug

Either my TRS version is perfect or I'm lucky.

Good, I though i was the only one dealing this BS.

Now if only we could bagger the devs into getting off their lazy rear ends and fixing this issue..

What's the build?

There's mention that headlights were fixed in the beta for the next service pack which is coming out soon(tm).

I filed a bug report on this eons ago. QA responded with the advice that I should do a database rebuild. I did and the head lights worked.
But next time I shut the game down and then restarted, they didn't work. Rebuilt data base and they worked. And so on.
Do hope they finally got the message and fix this issue, it's annoying to say the least.

Cheers

Well the latest update didn't fix my problem and yes I've tried to rebuild the data base. Same old Trainz, always buggy.
